I – DAY MARKS THE “KHUTI PUJA” FOR SANGASHREE, SILIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 15th August, 2015: Khuti puja has already started other parts of Bengal however; in Siliguri, it was the occasion of Independence Day, the age-old club of Siliguri “Sanghashree” took the occasion to open the ritual of Durga Puja with the ‘Khuti Puja’. Today morning when the Siligurians were busy chanting patriotic songs through choirs, anthems, songs, Prabhat feri, the club officials of Sanghashree were seen busy in organizing the Khuti Puja for ritually starting the Durga Puja preparations. One of the club members said to TNI We have chosen this day as a mark of respect to Bharat Mata for our Durga Maa”. A huge amount of enthusiasm was seen among the younger lot in the ritual.
